My 3 best Madrid airport hotels (2024)

madrid airport hotels

Madrid Airport hotels are perfect if you have an early morning flight. Or, if you have a late arrival, you might like to stay at the airport for a night instead of trying to figure out trains the moment you touch down.

So, I have collected below the best hotel options for early travelers departing from Madrid airport:

But the truth is that Madrid is not far from the airport. Therefore, depending on the traffic, in 30 minutes you can go from Madrid’s downtown (Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Cibeles) to the airport by car. If you add to this one of the best networks of buses, subway and trains, there is no real need to sleep at the airport in most cases.

That being said, if you’re flying on one of those very early low-cost flights, your public transport options are limited and getting to the airport on time can become a bit more difficult.

There are several hotels near Madrid airport, in three main locations:

  • In the town of Barajas, near Terminals 1, 2 and 3 (T1, T2 and T3) of the airport.
  • A couple of business districts near the airport.
  • IFEMA, the Madrid exhibition and conference complex, which is not far from the airport.

Looking for other hotels near Madrid airport?

You can also use the following search box to look for other Madrid airport hotels.

When searching for a hotel near Madrid airport make sure to carefully evaluate two conditions:

  • The hotels offers a free transfer to or from the airport, and the hours and frequency of the service (not all hotels offer 24-hour transfer).
  • Public transport is available nearby to get you to or from Madrid.

The first question is essential. The second one will depend a lot on whether you’re planning to go to Madrid or not.
