Hi, I’m Sandra Vallaure
Welcome to Madrid Traveller.
Yeah, that’s me.
I was born in Madrid and lived there most of my childhood and my youth so the city will always be in my heart. I moved to Seville in 2010 after changing jobs, but my family and many friends remain in Madrid so I return once per month (if not more!).
Besides the passion for this gorgeous city where I live, I love to travel: I have been to 40+ countries and lived in Morocco, Mexico, France, Australia, and New Zealand.
Although my biggest passion is to explore our beautiful planet, I also enjoy photography, learning languages and listening to electronic music.
When it comes to planning trips, I like to be on top of every detail. I usually start well in advance, diving into maps, hunting for budget-friendly flights, and scouting out the best places to stay. After spending so much time researching and figuring things out, I’ve picked up a lot of useful tricks along the way.
These days, I feel pretty confident about putting together trips from scratch, whether it’s a quick weekend getaway or a longer adventure to some far-off destination.

That’s exactly why I created Madrid Traveller, to make planning your trip to Madrid way easier. My goal is to give you a solid overview of Madrid, sprinkle in some insights about this thrilling city, and help you tackle all the little decisions that come with organizing a trip like this.
